On Tuesday September 1 at 8:30PM Eastern, Adrian Manspeaker, winemaker at Sonoma-based Joseph Jewell Wines, will be in the virtual classroom for an interesting hour-long session where he will discuss two vintages of a Pinot Noir crafted from the same vineyard:
Joseph Jewell Pinot Noir, Bucher Vineyard 2016
Joseph Jewell Pinot Noir, Bucher Vineyard 2017
Instead of talking about two different wine grapes or styles, this is a fascinating chance to learn about the differences between two vintages. You’ll learn about what Adrian had to do differently in the vineyard and the cellar each year, and you’ll taste the delicious, velvety results of those efforts in the glass.
The Bucher Vineyard is a well-known, sustainably farmed Sonoma County vineyard that supplies fruit to Joseph Jewell for the creation of these wines. It’s farmed by John Bucher, and his Russian River Valley grapes are highly-prized among producers in the region.
To reserve your spot in this session, simply email me: adam@burghundy.com.
To purchase one or both of the wines in Pennsylvania, please directly contact Kevin Perez of Grapes to Glass via email at kevin@grapestoglasspgh.com, or you can contact him via telephone at (412) 596-6299.
Adrian and the Joseph Jewell team have created a unique landing page and special shipping offer for folks who are outside of Pennsylvania, and you can order directly from the winery here. Follow the instructions on the provided page to get free shipping on orders of 4 or more bottles with the code BURGHUNDY.
Also, please feel free to join even if you don’t have the wines on hand; worst case, it’s an opportunity to learn from an accomplished winemaker and enjoy the company of fellow wine lovers while you sip on the beverage of your choice.
Hope to see you there!
