On Tuesday September 1 at 8:30PM Eastern, Adrian Manspeaker, winemaker at Sonoma-based Joseph Jewell Wines, will be in the virtual classroom for an interesting hour-long session where he will discuss two vintages of a Pinot Noir crafted from the same vineyard:

• Joseph Jewell Pinot Noir, Bucher Vineyard 2017

Instead of talking about two different wine grapes or styles, this is a fascinating chance to learn about the differences between two vintages. You’ll learn about what Adrian had to do differently in the vineyard and the cellar each year, and you’ll taste the delicious, velvety results of those efforts in the glass.

The Bucher Vineyard is a well-known, sustainably farmed Sonoma County vineyard that supplies fruit to Joseph Jewell for the creation of these wines. It’s farmed by John Bucher, and his Russian River Valley grapes are highly-prized among producers in the region.
