It’s time for something sweet, my friends!

Elsa of Azorean Café and I had such a great time during our virtual dinner that we thought we’d team up to bring you something similar — only this time, it’s all about Portuguese sweets and dessert wines!

On Monday December 21 at 7:00PM Eastern, Azores native Elsa Santos of Azorean Café (Bloomfield, Pittsburgh) and I will be hosting a virtual class for you to enjoy Azorean and Portuguese desserts while learning about 2 wines that pair perfectly.

So, how does it work?

1.) Place your order by contacting Elsa and the restaurant (tel: (412) 586-4241 or email Azoreancafe@gmail.com), or click here and order the “Wine Dinner.”

2.) Head to a local Fine Wine & Good Spirits store to grab the wine(s) listed in the flyer -- I'll be talking about two styles of dessert wine, Madeira and Port, and they’re both widely available across the Pittsburgh region. You can visit finewineandgoodspirits.com to search and see which stores nearest you carry the wines. If you can’t get the exact wines listed in the above digital flyer, that’s okay — any Madeira or Port is welcome!

3.) Pick up your food from Azorean Café in Bloomfield on Monday between 9AM and 4PM, then sign into the online classroom at 7:00PM to learn about the foods from Elsa and the wines from me! (Link provided upon registration.)
